Aim

The aim of this course is to develop and reinforce managers’ understanding of sexual harassment in the workplace, including how to recognise inappropriate behaviour, assess its impact, identify emerging risks, and respond appropriately and proportionately.

The course also aims to strengthen managers’ awareness of their legal and organisational responsibilities, professional boundaries, workplace standards, and the importance of taking early action when concerns arise.

By building practical knowledge and confidence, the course supports managers in applying policies consistently, challenging inappropriate behaviour, supporting those affected, escalating concerns when necessary, and helping to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive working environment.

  • Explain managers’ responsibilities and relevant employer duties under UK law.
  • Recognise early warning signs, power imbalances, patterns of behaviour, and higher-risk situations.
